Terms and conditions
Last updated September 16, 2026
These terms apply to detailing services provided by Colorado Local Detailing, an owner-operated mobile detailing business based in Windsor, Colorado. Booking an appointment means you accept them.
1. Agreement
"We" and "us" mean Colorado Local Detailing. "You" means the person who books the appointment and who owns the vehicle or is authorized to arrange service for it. By booking you confirm you have that authority.
2. Booking and deposits
A 20% deposit is required to hold an appointment. The deposit is applied to your total and is not an additional charge. Services that are quoted on site, including paint correction, ceramic coating and extra head liner work, are excluded from the deposit calculation and billed after the work is agreed.
Appointment times are estimates for arrival. Weather, traffic and the condition of a previous vehicle can move a start time. We contact you if your window changes.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Rescheduling is free and your deposit moves to the new appointment. Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the appointment are refunded in full. Cancellations inside 48 hours forfeit the deposit, because the slot can rarely be filled on short notice.
If we cancel or cannot complete the service for any reason on our side, including weather that makes exterior work unsafe, you are not charged and your deposit is refunded or moved at your choice.
4. Pricing and payment
Published prices are starting prices for the vehicle class listed. Size upcharges apply to small SUVs and to large SUVs, trucks and vans. A travel fee of $20 to $50 is added once per visit based on distance from our Greeley hub.
Heavy soiling, pet hair, sand, spills, mold or biohazard conditions take longer than a standard detail. If we find conditions that change the price, we tell you the revised number before continuing and you can decline. The balance is due on the invoice when the work is finished. Invoices and card payments are processed through QuickBooks.
5. Access and conditions at your location
You agree to provide a legal, reasonably level parking space with room to work around the vehicle, and any gate or building access we need. We bring our own water and power. If we cannot access the vehicle at the scheduled time, or the location makes the work unsafe, the appointment is treated as a late cancellation.
Please remove valuables, firearms, medication, cash and personal items before we arrive. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
6. Scope of work
Detailing is cleaning and cosmetic correction. It is not repair or restoration. Some conditions cannot be fully reversed, including burns, tears, dye transfer, permanent staining, etched water spots, rock chips, clear coat failure and paint that has already been polished thin. We tell you what we expect to achieve before we start, and we will not guess on a surface we think may fail.
7. Liability and insurance
We carry general liability insurance for mobile work and will provide the certificate on request. If we damage your vehicle or property while working, tell us before we leave the site so we can document and address it.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear or defects, including loose or aftermarket trim, failing clear coat, previous body work, cracked plastics, leaking seals, or electrical faults that appear during or after cleaning. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.
8. Warranty
Ceramic coating packages carry a written 1-year warranty, whichever coating tier you choose, covering gloss and water behavior when the maintenance schedule we provide is followed. The warranty does not cover damage from automated car washes with brushes, abrasive or high-pH chemicals, accidents, road debris, or neglect.
Standard detailing is not warrantied against re-soiling, which is normal use. If something was missed, contact us within 48 hours of the appointment and we will come back and correct it.
9. Photos of your vehicle
We photograph vehicles before and after service for our own records and may use those photos to show our work on this site and on social media. License plates are not published. If you would rather we not post your vehicle, tell us and we will keep the photos internal only.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version posted on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to your appointment. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
